Humans accomplish ‘Power To Do Work’ in many varieties. Think of the simple process of ‘Ambulating or Walking’ … on the flat, uphill or downhill. Without factoring important ‘Weight Shift In The Total Circle’, forward, backwards or sideways, our legs provide ‘Thrust’ in three forms … 1) Push, 2) Neutral and 3) Pull.

This applies to a large number of activities … baseball throwing, bating, hockey, tennis and more.

Walking deserves a moment of our time? The back or Brace Foot provides ‘Push or Propulsion’. The front or Target Foot is servient and provides balance and stability. We do not ‘Pull’ our body mass forward by dragging the Brace Foot forward. ‘Power’ is primarily a ‘Brace Side Task’.

In the golf Mechanical realm, there is a huge and complex discussion relating to this topic. The hips or Hip Axis pivots to the Brace or Loading/Coiling Side (see ‘Top Of Back Swing - TOB) and then drops Gravitationally and subsequently, rather naturally, fires through the ‘Impact Point’ and then ‘Transitions’ through to the ‘Finish Position’. (see ‘Top Of Front Swing’ - TOF)

You might find our ‘555 Golf Power Train Sequence’ of interest? It is ‘Accumulate, Load, Store, Deliver and Release’. (ALSDR) The ‘Delivery and Release stages involve ‘Gravitational Truth’. Of prominent interest, our Clubhead Sweet Spot (Center Of Mass) only starts advancing on the ‘Ballistic Point, Intermediate and Far Targets’ when dropping into the ‘Bottom Half Of The Swing Circle’. In the top half of the Front Swing’, the ‘Clubhead Sweet Spot is Retreating’ or moving away from the Three Targets. (‘Time For A Slow Motion Feel’)

The uncoiling of the ‘Human Core’ as a result of the Brace Leg’s thrust (Coiling), causes the Target Hip’s moving backwards (Clearing), while the Brace Hip advances on the Target and or Body Lines. This Target Hip’s Clearing causes some ‘Drag Action’ as a result of ‘Pushing For Power’. The ‘Pulling Action’ enables ‘Control’. (see ‘The 5 Set-Ups and The 5 Essential Elements’). Components are cooperating to make us happy!
