The ‘Lever Assembly’ is the ‘Shoulder Socket, Upper Arm, Elbow, Forearm, Wrist and Hand. We have two ‘Lever Assemblies’, the Target or Swing Lever (on the Target or Flag Stick Side) as well as the Brace or Hitting Lever (on the Back and Up Load Swing Side).

There is a plethora of ‘Golf Advice’ that seriously promotes a ‘Straight or even Stiff Target Lever’. We are not going to defend or criticize that premise at this juncture. The 555 Team is, however, going to tell you the scientific truth that underlies the statement.

The ‘Brace Lever Assembly Joints Bend’ in the Back & Up Swing to ‘Accumulate Potential Energy’. (like a framing hammer performs) The flipside then rather naturally takes place. The Brace Lever Assembly ‘Straightens’ and converts ‘Potential Energy’ into ‘Kinetic, Dynamic or Active Energy’ in the Down, Out, Forward and Through Phase’. (see ‘DOFT’)

Here is the promised small yet accurate detail that deals with ‘Bending The Target Lever Assembly Elbow’ (see ‘PAJ - Primary Articulating Joint’), which is so often said to need to be ‘Straight’. Some golfers are simply not supple enough to keep that assembly straight!

So what? If your ‘Swing Target Lever Assembly’ is slightly bent at the elbow when at the ‘Top Of Back Swing (TOB - SS #5), it does not totally violate efficient Physics and Geometry! In the same manner as your Brace Lever Accumulates and Stores Potential Energy, so too does the ‘Bent Target Elbow’! Yet it is a tolerable, even beneficial ‘Swing Flaw’!

Our ‘555 Family’ knows the ‘Power Line Delivery Sequence’ … Accumulate, Load, Store, Deliver and Release’. (see ‘ALSDR’) Think about those carefully-chosen words!

Enjoy this awareness!
