Initially this is about your ‘Approach Phase’ … from your Full Swing #PW in. For the entire scope of golfers, that may be from 70 yards all the way out to a well-struck 130 yards or even more! We have had ‘555 Family’ (Clients) who manage over 160 yards with a #PW. Pretty significant distance, right? Bluntly, that is really way too far!

Do you want to improve your ‘Putting Stats’? Of course you do! Less putts means more free food and drinks on the 19th Hole! Bigger pay cheques! More happiness! Reputation!

Along the same line of discussion, let’s shuffle to the ‘Last Short Distance’ from the fairway or fringe on to the green. From here we no longer strive for the ‘5/10/15 Foot Circles’ but for an even more precise ‘12 Inch Landing Circle’. I have to admit, I really enjoy holing out my ‘Chips and Bump & Runs’. This gift directly affects our ‘Putting Numbers’. ‘Zero Putts’ are good! How many of you special family members understand ‘Quadranting The Greens’?

Most golfers have taken some lessons … or NOT. Every golfer is benefited by finding an experienced and science-founded golf instructor for regular or at least occasional time-sharing!

I think most of us know what the club should be doing through ‘The Impact & Separation Zone’ or, at least think we know? Thinking is actually better than not! Proves the mind to be alive!

In the Front or Down & Out Swing, the clubhead should be swinging on a downward or descending ‘Angle Of Attack’ (AOA), generally on a path from the ‘Inside-Out’, and ultimately striking the ‘Bottom Inside Cheek’ (BIC) of the Ball with a face squarely aimed or pointing at the ‘Intermediate and/or Far Targets’ (DTL - Down The Line). The ball flight starts off in that ‘Face Aimed’ direction. If we add some ‘Clubhead Path Variation’, the ball will curve accordingly.

There is often a ‘Social Leveler or Equalizer’ that may or many not be all that obvious to the ‘Hoi Polloi’ … we in the huddling and hungry masses!

How many of us are driven to produce ‘Power & Prodigious Distances’ with the ‘Big Stick’ or with all sticks? One of my golf phenoms, known to many world-wide, would fairly comfortably hit a #PW 150 to 160 yards carry! Mere mortals get it out there … well you know … less!

The same ‘Animal-ness’ applies to the driver. How does 350+ compare with your best grunt?

Well, here’s the good news!

You do not have to be overly athletic to get attention with the ‘Short End’ of your bag!

In golf as in life, ‘Data Is Often Kingly’ … we need information to help us navigate our daily lives. Let’s get right to the point … things you might already know! ‘The 555 Golf System’ utilizes several highly efficient ‘Shot Making Frame-Works’ or procedures. Players make their shots predictably!

‘The CAD Sheet’ (Calibrated Average Distance) simply lists, on one sheet, all the clubs we generally use along with their ‘Optimal Carry Distances’ … Full Swing Driver on the top and Lob Wedge on the bottom. Therefore, after we ‘Laser’, we can simply pull the most efficient golf club so as to give the ‘Little White Ball’ a mighty whack on direction (line) and on distance! Carry and use your ‘CAD Sheet’!

If we can think of golf properly, based on science, physics and geometry, we shall be successful in less time with less grief and frustration! What the mind can perceive and conceive, the body can generally achieve! (to our fitness and ROM parameters). You can see that there is a time and effort requirement. We have to do the work before we get paid! Golf is not a “Flash In A Pan”. There is no Disney Magic Wand! But your ‘555 Golf System Simplicity’ is highly helpful.

Everything in golf centers and orbits around a perfect point or fulcrum. If it is off kilter, it is either ‘Too Much’ (+) or ‘Too Little’ (-). Our ‘Swing Mechanics’ must be worked into an ‘In Balance State’. We need more ‘Constants than Variables’ to achieve ‘Consistency and Repeatability’ … scoring well every day rather than once a month. This in and of itself is about ‘Golf’s Highs & Lows’ … The pluses and the minuses.

The primary task when you are still ‘Off The Green’ is to ‘Get the ball on the Dance Floor behaving like a Putt as soon as possible’. Might I add that you must truly believe in yourself!

When out in the ‘Approach Zone’ we should focus precisely on the 5/10/15 Foot Circles. From there we can make good things happen more often than not! Smaller circles make for improved ‘Putting Stats’.

When out in the ‘Approach Zone’ we will be well-served to ‘Quadrant The Greens’. By that, your 555 Team means ‘Gunsighting The Green’ or breaking it into ‘Four Quadrants’ of approximately the same area or size. (see ‘Cross Hairs’)

Being a bit of an old farm boy and house-building youth (mostly at Grampa’s insistence) we learned how to use and care for the tools-of-the-trade. We would NEVER leave our hammer out in the cold damp world … a fate flirting with death by Grampa or Dad!

One tool we used a lot in framing was a ‘Chalk Box & Line’. It was like an enclosed ‘Fishing Reel’ that contained chalk, a powdery substance that permeated the string line. Why? So as to be able to mark a straight line on the subfloor or anywhere for a useful purpose. When we fastened wall framing to the floor, we knew that the base plates were straight, true and square!

Golf loves ‘Straight, True, Square & On Length’ too! A ‘Stymp Meter’ is a wonderful golf tool.

You may find this to be a worthwhile understanding as well as a useful real physical function? Of this we on the ‘555 Team’ are certain! Use it regularly with predictable success!
